Today, the nine The Hague Innovators nominees pitched on stage and the jury chose the winners at the New Business Summit. The The Hague Innovators Challenge is an initiative of the City of The Hague and aims to encourage startups, organizations and students to present new ideas on solving current global challenges. The following startups are the The Hague Innovators 2017.
The first prize went to Hack the Planet. How to use 3D-printing and robotics technology for a better world? Hack the Planet developed a cool concept, the GroundHawQ, and won first prize. It comes with prize money of €30,000. Learn more about their innovative concept here.
Saferails received the student prize of € 10,000. The students developed a solution that will make sure you don’t get stuck in the tram tracks with your bicycle. All details about their project can be found here.
Startup Toogethr won the public vote and was awarded € 5,000. They developed an innovative solution to reduce commuter traffic: an app that makes carpooling with your colleagues easy and profitable. Read more about the project here.
